Coastal Boxer Rescue is always busy with unwanted, neglected dogs but because of the economy and with so many families losing there homes, we are overwelmed with owners surrendering pets.

I am writing this message to see if anyone would be interested in doing any volunteer work or donating any pet related items to the rescue such as food, dog beds, toys, monthly treatments, large crates, etc. One of our volunteers will be more than willing to pick up any donated items. Coastal Boxer Rescue serves on the Eastern Seaboard, covering Miami/Dade County up to Flagler County. It’s a wonderful organization that is run solely on volunteers. To date they have rescued and placed over 180 Boxers!!!!

We are always in need of foster homes; you can go to our website and fill out an application, www.coastalboxers.org. Foster homes are one of the most
important things that keep us going. When you become a foster, you care for the dog as if it were your own except CBR picks up the cost for all preventives and medical treatments. In many cases all the dog needs is TLC and minimal health care. Some of these dogs are abused, found on the street, kept in a crate for 20+ hours a day and currently found in locked forclosed homes starving to death, etc. It is truly rewarding to know you saved a boxer, when all is said and done and the boxer is healthy, the foster family has the final say on where the dog is placed.
